Who doesn’t love the 90s from Friends, Winona Ryder to Nirvana. The 90s were the times times and the style is still around Thanks to people like Gwen Stefani, Charili XCX and of course Henry Holland.
I’m obsessed with him. I met him once in a store in Dublin called BT2 and he was the nicest person ever!!! So down to earth, I always look forward to his collection. I always save up and buy something edgy.
This very it remembered me of clueless, don’t ask me but something about it just brings back memories. There was a lot going on but nothing new from House of Holland. It’s always neon colours with bold prints. The models wore mini skirts with shirts. Girlie with a bit tom boy edge to it. A lot go flowery badges on the runway this time around.
These skirts are all in trend. There even in stores now like Topshop and River Island. However it’s all darker colours. American Apparel might have brighter PVC skirts. It’s all gold and browns at the moment but I’m going to wait for summertime for the brighter colours. T-shirts and skirts were worn by this look with bright pink heels.
However not everything was bright colours. With these outfits even though they are darker, they’re still bright with the pattern. With Henry Holland designs you never see anything dark, I can never see him coming out with a collection of just dark colours. Everything with Henry Holland is bold,bright and bonkers. All in a tasteful way. His fans/friends are Alexa Chung, Poppy Delvengine and Daisy Lowe. All in front row and why wouldn’t they. He had his best friend Agness Deyn modelling for him before she retired.
He is just brilliant and brought the 90s back to life and it isn’t going anywhere.
He went for a bold silver glitter eye shadow. Great for a night out. I can see Charili XCX wearing something like this. He uses black eye liner with the cat eye flick. I don’t think maybe people would be brave enough to pull it off but go on give it a try. You only live once. However my tip would be keep everything else simple. Have your hair either straight or caught back in a simple ponytail.
